Preparing for Fall 2025

For the last few weeks, I have been working on the website and the booking page and updating all information to get ready for Fall 2025. I have also updated my availability and pricing as well. So far, I have been reaching out to Lumpkin County Schools to see if anyone there is looking for a tutor, But I have also reached out to some local churches as well. Sadly, none of the churches responded. So if you or someone you know is looking for a math tutor for homeschooling, feel free to send me an email!

Lastly, I wanted to mention an idea that I had. I have spent the last few weeks crunching some numbers and figuring out the logistics of opening a tutoring center here in Dahlonega. I have the numbers and rough estimations. The one thing I don’t have is knowledge of the market, of the demand. So please, if you know anyone who would be interested, let them know. 2024-2025 Academic Year

Hello everyone!

The school year is about to start! If you have been following for a while, you may know that this is the time of year where I reconsider my budget, set new prices, and start to reach out to schools and organizations. If you are from one of those outreach emails, welcome! I’m glad you are here, and I look forward to working with you and your student(s). Anyway, my goal in these posts is to update everyone on what is happening to my services, so please, if you are interested in updates, subscribe to the email thread at the bottom of the home page. I will be posting at least once a week.

Other than the price update, I have tried to revamp the website. For starters, I created a new logo:

I have also updated my hours of availability, and the start-up appointment process. I have also completely changes the about page! So if you would like to know more about me, my goals for the business, and my reasonings for why I do what I do; all of that is found there! Any feedback is more than welcomed! Finally, I just wanted to say thank you for the support. I have been seeing a lot of traction to this website, and I am looking forward to serving the north Georgia region in the best way that I can!

New Hourly Rates!

Hello everyone!

I have spent the last couple of days reworking the site to make it a more user-friendly experience. Pretty soon I will be sending out emails and reaching out to the local community to get things started. So if you are reading this and you were sent one of those emails, welcome!

Now, with the new update comes even newer hourly rates! I am still in the experimental phase, so the rates are likely to change as time goes on. I have even made the rates negotiable since a lot of us out here are struggling due to the recent inflation in prices. Rest assured, I will continue to try to keep the rates as low as possible for the best interest of the community. Access to quality education is important for a community to grow.

New Hourly Rates!

There will be new hourly rates! Now instead of there being a flat rate, each individual will essentially get a quote during the initial set up meeting. This quote would give an hourly rate tailored to each individual based off of several criteria (see rates for details). Schedule a set up meeting to see your’s!

Hopefully it will be more accommodating for everyone!

Currently, I only offer tutoring in any math class as well as lower level physics and chemistry classes. I plan to really start things in the fall, but if anyone needs help with a summer course, feel free to contact me or schedule an appointment!

Fall of 2022

An update for anyone following.

I have been out of commission for some time now. I have not had the time, energy, or focus to work on this website or to even consider tutoring. Rest assured, tutoring will start back up in the Fall of 2022. In the meantime, feel free to schedule any appointments. I understand some people out there may need help during summer classes. Other than that, I hope to see you all soon!

Hello all!

It has been a year, has it not! We went through a pandemic. I went through several career changes (eventually landing back on teaching), but here we are again!

An update on myself. I recently decided to hold back on finishing my master’s degree, pursuing a job as a high school math teacher. I have my certification, and I have my bachelors. I am fully qualified, but alas, I was unable to get a teaching position. Instead, I took a job as a substitute for Union County schools. Therefore, in the near future, I will be moving back to Blairsville, but I still plan to provided tutoring services in the North Georgia region (though, I may be limited to doing so online instead of in person).

Due to various factors, my rates have gone up; however, I am willing to negotiate with those who have specific financial needs. Feel free to schedule an set-up meeting, and we can talk then.

Lastly, I am still setting up this website. If you have any ideas on how to improve this website, pleas let me know.

Anyway, I am looking forward to the 2021-2022 academic year! It’s going to be a good one; I can feel it!

Hello People of Dahlonega,

This is an update on the current standings of Bachman Tutoring. In this post, I will cover online tutoring options for the COVID-19 situation, planning for the future, and new social media presence.

Tutoring during COVID-19

First, I wanted to mention that I am available for tutoring during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am still setting things up, but I am available to tutor using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or any other (free) video sharing platform. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! further more I realize summer is fast approaching, and many public schools are closing early. I wanted to take a moment and say that I am more than willing to take on new students now. Normally, I would like to start as early as I can in the semester to really plan for my sessions, but since we are in the tail end of the semester, I won’t have that kind of luxury. Thus, I will say that prices are negotiable at the moment to accommodate for the lack of preparation.

Summer Plans

Speaking of the summer, I wanted to spend some time talking about my plans for Bachman Tutoring services. First off, I will be available to tutor over the summer. Currently, I am looking for a job, so my hours of availability may change. Also because of it being summer, I know not many people will be looking for a tutor, so I will be focusing a lot of my spare time to improving the services. For example, I recently created some social media accounts for Bachman Tutoring so that you can have easier access to the service. Also, I am currently looking into getting an official tutoring certificate (more details on that later). If there is any other way you think I can improve this start-up, please let me know. All feedback is welcomed and even encouraged! But overall, I am still available to tutor during the summer, and I will continue to improve Bachman Tutoring services.
